At the end of 2022, I joined Bilibili and started sharing some War Robots gameplay videos.
In March 2023, I stumbled upon a delicate artwork at an exhibition. Later, I asked the staff there and learned that the artwork was created by modeling on a computer and then linked to a 3D printer. This new technology sparked my interest, and I wanted to own a piece of my own. So, I started learning modeling, and soon I mastered most of the modeling knowledge.
In July 2023, after modeling and creating many small items and even modeling some mechas from War Robots and posting them online, I suddenly thought, since I had already modeled them, why not print them as well?
So, I modeled a mecha called "Crisis" based on in-game images and printed it using a 3D printer. I simply painted it with spray paint and watercolor pens. Although it was crude, when I posted it online, it received a lot of praise and was even featured on War Robots' official Facebook page, bringing me immense satisfaction.
In the following three months, I was extremely enthusiastic and immersed myself in model-making. I created many War Robots mecha models and even established a model series. I transitioned from a game content creator to a modeling content creator, which significantly increased my popularity.
However, by around October 2023, I became busier, and with outdated tools and no dedicated studio, my passion for making models diminished. After completing my last model, "Newton," the series was discontinued.
The following year, while revisiting my collection of old models, I suddenly wanted to return to model-making. This time, I was fully prepared and purchased professional model-making equipment. I spent a lot of time redesigning the "Newton" model. I added surface panel lines, increased many details, changed from one-piece construction to modular assembly, and upgraded the weapons from one-piece to peg connections. I also switched from spray paint to airbrush painting, and the paint from nitro paint to acrylics. Many problems arose during production, but they were all resolved.
On March 1, 2024, the remastered Newton model debuted, officially marking the return of the model series.
In April 2024, my friend "Kenneth" suggested using magnets instead of pegs to connect weapons.
This idea was implemented in the model "Ultimate Jumping Spider," which debuted on May 3, 2024. The video received the highest number of likes in the history of the model series, and the weapon connection method was officially improved.
On May 26, 2024,
The limited "Wraith" model debuted, where I achieved significant success in weathering techniques.
On June 15, 2024,
The "Great Knight" model debuted, the first model I made with movable waist articulation.
From May to August 2024,
I created over 20 mecha models and also posted some gameplay videos during this period.
On August 10, 2024,
I created the full-metal "Dragon King" model, the first all-metal model on the internet, marking a milestone in the modeling community.
On August 24, 2024, I created the world's largest "Luchador" model, standing at 60 cm tall.
On September 6, 2024, I successfully developed a fully articulated "Loki," achieving a milestone in articulation.
On October 3, 2024, I released the video "Mecha Parade," showcasing the world's largest War Robots model parade.
On October 19, 2024, the "Ultimate Typhon" model debuted, the first model I made with a lighting feature.
Later, I realized that compared to industrially produced models, my models still had a lot of room for improvement in terms of detail. Around this time, many people online were asking me to create a "Boxer" model. I suddenly wanted to challenge myself and replicate it with full precision, identical to the in-game version. It was not an easy task. During the month-long production, I encountered many difficulties, but I overcame them. I successfully created the most detailed model among all my works, the "Boxer."
On November 23, 2024, the Boxer model video debuted. This model's details were astonishing and groundbreaking, garnering nearly 1,000 likes and making history.
