The Dusty Rawhide Saddle is a mount summoning item. When used, it summons a rideable Painted Horse mount. It is purchased from the Zoologist for a base price of 250000*25 after completing at least 30% (156 entries) of the Bestiary.

The horse can reach a maximum speed of 40 mph, at which point it will deal damage to enemies it runs through, similar to the Hardmode Unicorn Mount.The Painted Horse mount, when used, will appear in a puff of gray smoke, and will behave similar to the Dark Horse, the Majestic Horse, and the Unicorn. There is no jump fatigue while riding this mount.

Tips

• To make this mount, and all horse-related mounts, easier to use, it would be a good idea to build a large platform extending across your map. You can stay at top speed without having to worry about slowing down. For best results, use asphalt.
• Using this mount, and all horse-related mounts, during a bossfight is dangerous, especially for Melee and Mage classes, so it is not recommended for anyone that isn't part of the Ranger class.
