A Railroad Switch Control is used to decide the path of a manual driven Train on a Railway split. Its appearance is based on the number of connected rails.
Construction
It is generated automatically on every railway split that is properly built. It's not possible to manually build, dismantle or edit its location under normal circumstances. To create a railway split, connect a new railway segment to a joint between 2 existing railway segments.
On some occasions the switch may not appear on a railway split, this indicates the split is not valid, and the train can get stuck when attempting to pass through it. Dismantle the split and rebuild it with different build order such that a switch is generated on the split.
Visual appearance

5 up to N | Uses the same graphics as the state (N-4). For example, the 6th state will look alike as the 2nd state. |
Automated Train
- Automated trains ignore Railroad Switch Controls. That means, toggling a Railroad Switch Control no longer possible to split a travelling train into different paths, whether the toggle action is done manually or triggered by another train.
Current issue
- The 'flag' of the Railroad Switch Control does not necessarily point toward the direction of the split it is leading to, instead, it depends on the build order.
- The 'rod' part of the Switch Control do have a hit box, this can be observed when an engineer tries to stand on top of it. However it is always correspond to the position of state 1 only.
