---|---|---|---|---|---|
No | 0-0-3 (corrected to 0-1-3 afterwards) | Name | Helena Adams | Inclination | The perfect "control group" |
Test Indicators | |||||
1. Kindness | 2. Taming | 3. Self-protection | |||
Test Results | 1. Overall Evaluation | A manic at heart, she was tamed by her own conscience and education. Her self-awareness was sound and her mentality was mature. She should have been an ideal control group, but she turned out to be easily tamed and difficult to control. | |||
2. Methodology | After multiple test with No. 0-1-0 in the early phase, we conducted pharmaceutical interventions in stages with a more reasonable dosage (according to data) on No. 0-0-3. Early on in the experiment, No. 0-0-3 showed excessive compassion and care toward No. 0-0-4 as they were both "lambs." She also showed kindness toward No. 0-1-0 as she considered them "allies." | ||||
3. Analysis Summary | As Sullivan's prey, I decided that No. 0-0-3 should have been the prefect control group based on her early exchanges with Sullivan.
At the beginning of the experiment, her behavior proved our point—she was too kind and easily tamed. |

3-?-1 Aesop Carl
A Page from Aesop Carl's Experiment File | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
No | 3-?-1 | Name | Aesop Carl | Inclination | A dangerous character who appears stable on the surface. |
Test Indicators | |||||
1. Motivated | 2. Apathy | 3. Cognitive Bias | |||
Test Results | 1. Overall Evaluation | No. 3-?-1 followed the rules and was emotionally stable. Apart from being extremely introverted, there wasn't any obvious trait. However, his past gave him an unconventional view on life and death. His only motivation stemmed from his desire to guide those who had been struggling to end their life with dignity. As a result of his clear goal and strong motivation, No. 3-1-2 and No. 3-1-4 were eliminated because of him. | |||
2. Methodology | Except for No. 3-1-4, all of the subjects in this group share similar traits, quiet, low-key, recluse, and avoid confrontations at all cost. Early on in the experiment, No. 3-?-1 and No. 3-?-3 were attracted to each other. Such attraction came from both No. 3-?-3's obsession with letters and No. 3-?-1's appreciation of his ideal. As things went as planned, No. 3-?-1, with a clear goal, followed the rules and remained stable. | ||||
3. Experiment Summary | Affected by his upbringing and education background, No. 3-?-1 had an unconventional view of life, he thought there was no difference between life and death, and that it was his calling to guide those who had been struggling to end their lives with dignity. No. 3-?-1 knew full well that the effect of his past on his mentality was different from the others in the group. This affected his rational judgment. Therefore, while No. 3-?-1's appearance and behavior were normal, his cognitive awareness drove him to extreme actions. |

4-1-1 Emma Woods
A Page from Emma Woods' Experiment File | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
No | 4-1-1 | Name | Emma Woods | Inclination | Doubtful "Dreamer" |
Test Indicators | |||||
1. Seemingly innocuous | 2. Neurotic | 3. Vindictive | |||
Test Results | 1. | Subject 4-1-1 is an insecure individual. When placed in an unfamiliar environment, she exhibits a strong emotional dependence on certain items for self-protection and loses herself in delusions. | |||
2. Procedure | Facing three revenge targets in the Manor (Subjects 4-0-2, 4-0-3, and 4-0-4), Subject 4-1-1 disguised her intentions under the image of the innocent sweetheart to execute her plan. However, when alone, Subject 4-1-1 directed her emotional dependence toward the Scarecrow due to the stress and pressure of her revenge plan. | ||||
3. Experiment Summary | Subject 4-1-1 indulges in fantasies and projects them onto objects, a behavioral pattern that originates from repeated abandonment and betrayal in her childhood and adolesence. These experiences have taken root in her memories and kept her mind in fear and tension for a long time. The medicine used in this experiment magnified her inner fear and anxiety, resulting in the vessel of her fantasies becoming a "talking scarecrow." It was Subject 4-0-4 who forced a change in the situation. |
4-0-2 Kreacher Pierson
A Page from Kreacher Pierson's Experiment File | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
No | 4-0-2 | Name | Kreacher Pierson | Inclination | A petty, greedy, and selfish person. His lack of foresight made 4-0-2 suffer from his own "cleverness." |
Test Indicators | |||||
1. Selfish | 2. Aggressive and Competitive | 3. Role-playing | |||
Test Results | 1. Overall Evaluation | 4-0-2 was the first subject to be eliminated from the game. He was immobilized by Subject 4-1-1's trap in the manor. As for whether he really recalled Subject 4-1-1's identity? Nobody knows. | |||
2. Methodology | Subject 4-0-2's attempts to frame Subject 4-0-3 were reckless and immature, which is enough to show that 4-0-2 is an aggressive and competitive subject who likes to think that he's smarter than everyone else. Studies show Subject 4-0-2's personality is the result of his poverty-stricken upbringing. Subject 4-0-2 wandered the streets from a young age. Deception has always been his way of survival, and he has never been treated with sincerity and kindness. So, when Subject 4-1-1 showed concern, Subject 4-0-2 fell for it immediately. When he was with Subject 4-1-1, his wit slowed down, his greed turned into a weakness, and his delusion of grandeur became his downfall. | ||||
3. Experiment Summary | Subject 4-0-2's street-smart and survival instincts were the last bit of "knowledge" he had: Instead of dying from starvation or sickness on the streets, he felt that exploiting orphans' disabilities to gain sympathy from begging and stealing was the most practical and economical way for survival. This resulted in the formation of Subject 4-0-2's contradictory personality of inferiority and pride. He lived freely on the streets and even named himself the "King" of the orphans. But in the high society that he so desperately tried to get in, he was just a nobody with low self-esteem to the point of stuttering from nervousness. |
4-0-3 Freddy Riley
A Page from Freddy Riley's Experiment File | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
No | 4-0-3 | Name | Freddy Riley | Inclination | Profiteering "Hypocrite" |
Test Indicators | |||||
1. Liar | 2. Lover | 3. Unscrupulous | |||
Test Results | 1. Overall Evaluation | In all respects, No. 4-0-3 is a very standard test subject, hypocritical, cruel, arrogant, and so lofty. The petri dish created by ambition allows his evilness to be presented in the most typical way, and revenge becomes a better catalyst than drugs. | |||
2. Procedure | In the preparation phase of the experiment, No. 4-0-3 showed strong hostility to No. 4-0-2 and showed varying degrees of alertness to No. 4-1-1 and No. 4-0-4. All these kept him at a distance from other subjects. In the conflict between No. 4-0-2 and him, No. 4-0-3 exposed his enmity against No. 4-0-2, culminating in a higher risk of punishment. But considering that there were no more suitable test subjects to make up for the time being in this round of experiments, no eradicative punishment had been conducted for No. 4-0-3. | ||||
3. Experiment Summary | As far as No. 4-0-3 was concerned, in the early stage of the experiment, all the behavioral goals of No. 4-0-3 originated from his class superiority and his desire to maximize benefits. These socialized behavior motives may be negative. But in fact, these were what made him maintain a high level of vigilance in the preset environment of the experiment, creating a safe zone different from other experimental subjects. This was until a more individualized source of motivation that he himself defined as "love" dominated. The negative behavior that bred based on this positive motive, revenge, caused greater trauma to the target while destroying No. 4-0-3's defensive shell, so that he shielded the vigilance towards outside the target, completely exposing himself to the real danger. |
4-0-4 Emily Dyer
A Page from Emily Dyer's Experiment File | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
No | 4-0-4 | Name | Emily Dyer | Inclination | A "sinner" seeking salvation. |
Test Indicators | |||||
1. Attention seeking | 2. Compassion | 3. Salvation | |||
Test Results | 1. Overall Evaluation | Due to No. 4-0-4's professional background and experience, I was guarded about her arrival. However, the years she spent fleeing and her own inner torment have dulled her observation skills and judgment. She has thus become a sufficiently safe experiment subject. | |||
2. Methodology | As intended by the experiment, No. 4-0-4 was overly concerned about and protective toward No. 4-1-1. This inclination escalated as the experiment progressed until it deteriorated. At the beginning of the experiment, this inclination of No. 4-0-4 was limited to sending friendly signals to No. 4-1-1 and offering protection. | ||||
3. Experiment Summary | The effect of No. 4-0-4 acting as the tie among the experiment subjects in this group exceeded expectations. Our initial premise of the experiment was that she should act as a catalyst for No. 4-1-1 and No. 4-0-3. However, due to complicated past of her and No. 4-1-1, as well as their linked emotions of being in a dangerous situation, a new possibility arose in the experiment's results regarding No. 4-1-1. While this possibility wasn't put into effect, it offered a new approach for subsequent experiments. |

5-?-4 Kevin Ayuso
A Page from Kevin Ayuso's Experiment File | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
No | 5-?-4 | Name | Kevin Ayuso | Inclination | A coward boasting freedom while being trapped by guilt. |
Test Indicators | |||||
1. Self-denial | 2. Moral extremism | 3. Emotional impulsivity | |||
Test Results (phased) | 1. Overall Evaluation | No. 5-?-4 didn't participate in the "game" as planned. Yet his premature exit became a "catalyst" and sped up the progress of the experiment. | |||
2. Procedure | It was easy to see through 5-?-4's established logic of thinking. One only needs to manipulate his guilty conscience and moral extremism and he could have been a reliable and controllable variable for the experiment. However, it's a really risky yet creative decision to put No. 5-?-4 and No. 5-?-5 in the same group for the experiment. The contact between the two was sensible but unexpected. As No. 5-?-4 didn't join the "game" segment, my observations on him were "phased." This was also a revelation—the "game" may not require the participation of all subject in the experiment. | ||||
3. Phased Summary | The way No. 5-?-4 gets along with others is worth pondering about: During the experiment, No. 5-?-4 had vastly different prejudice against females and males. No. 5-?-4 was protective of females irrespective of their race, status, and stance. His "altruistic behavior" towards females far exceeded what one may do for the other sex. Taking his pasts into account, I am of the view that he's projecting his guilt toward the person from his adolescence on to other females. On top of that, he's being over-protective so as to relieve his fear that the tragedy would repeat itself (this was really obvious from his contact with No. 5-?-5 in the latter part of the experiment). This can be seen as a form of self protection psychologically. |
5-?-5 Patricia Dorval
A Page from Patricia Dorval's Experiment File | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
No | 5-?-5 | Name | Patricia Dorval | Inclination | Pagan huntress |
Test Indicators | |||||
1. Pious | 2. Pompous | 3. Agressive | |||
Test Results | 1. Overall Evaluation | No. 5-?-5 is a devout and effective pagan with a clear goal. | |||
2. Procedure | The medicine wasn't stable and so it wasn't put to use in this group's experiment. As a result, the judgement and behavior of the subjects in this group were completely driven by their own personality and stance. No. 5-?-5 was the core for this group's contradictions.
No. 5-?-5 upheld her promise with the "gods" by sacrificing her "preys," which was also her motivation for joining the manor's game. Yet throughout the game, there wasn't any objective proof that the "gods" actually gave No. 5-?-5 any assistance or protection. | ||||
3. Analysis Summary | No. 5-?-5's behavioral pattern wasn't purely religious, it's also related to her desire for self-identification.
As she wasn't accepted by her own people and she grew up being discriminated, No. 5-?-5 was very sensitive to her identity. Her wish for "the gods' approval" became her most urgent desire as she sought approval among her people. |

6-1-1 Eli Clark
A Page from Eli Clark's Experiment File | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
No | 6-1-1 | Name | Eli Clark | Test Trend | A so-called "seer" who knows nothing |
Test Indicators | |||||
1. Cautious (a result of the psychological burden of his "Foresight") | 2. Abnormally high self-esteem | 3. Desires fame and fortune | |||
Test Results | 1. Overall Evaluation | The first uninvited guest of the Manor. Interestingly, his performance has exceeded expectations. | |||
2. Analysis Summary | a. Similar to the previous tests, the source of his malicious intent stems from suspicion. Under duress, the reasonable introduction of "bait" in the form of unequal interests can serve to stimulate, or even enlarge, this malicious intent. |

6-1-3 Fiona Gilman
A Page from Fiona Gilman's Experiment File | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
No | 6-1-3 | Name | Fiona Gilman | Inclination | Prophesying according to her insight into the "will of the divine." |
Test Indicators | |||||
1. Self-confident and skeptical | 2. Romantic | 3. Prophetic | |||
Test Results | 1. Overall Evaluation | No. 6-1-3 uses her extensive education and philosophical mind in search of the truth of her faith—a truth of her own construction. | |||
2. Methodology | No. 6-1-3 arrived perfectly on schedule. Given her understanding of the situation, No. 6-1-3 quickly chose No. 6-0-5 as her first target for investigation. Initially, No. 6-1-3 saw uninterrupted progress, eventually leading to her taking over the entirety of the project. However, following the unfortunate accident that claimed No. 6-1-2's life, No. 6-1-3 began showing a keen interest in No. 6-0-5 and the Lakeside Village. This, in turn, brought her to the attention of No. 6-0-5 and No. 6-1-4. Following the introduction of No. 6-1-6, No. 6-1-3 was almost able to avoid being "sacrificed" by No. 6-0-5 due to her extraordinary intuition. A moment's hesitation, however, caused No. 6-1-3 to miss a crucial piece of "divine insight," and lose her chance to escape. | ||||
3. Analysis Summary | After confirming the stability of the medicine's effects, I decided to extend an invitation to No. 6-0-5. For the longest time, I lacked a large enough control group, but that all changed after No. 6-1-3 appeared. A candidate "provided" to me by an old friend, No. 6-1-3 has the potential to bring this entire experiment to an unfortunate and premature end. However, a unique test subject such as herself is more than worth the risk. |
6-1-4 ???
A Page from ???'s Experiment File | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
No | 6-1-4 | Name | ??? | Inclination | Loses her identity |
Test Indicators | |||||
1. Fraud | 2. Weaves lie with truth | 3. Role-playing | |||
Test Results | 1. Overall Evaluation | The hardest identity to imitate is her own. | |||
2. Methodology | This group is tasked to play a game based on the theme "Pinocchio." The 4 test subjects were asked to reverse "true and false." The rules require Subject 6-1-4 to use her true identity in the game, but she continued on with a false identity when introducing herself, and the other 3 test subjects acknowledged her false identity. Subject 6-1-4 was warned that same night. She reintroduced herself the next day, but the other 3 test subjects deduced that her true identity was false. Her "lies" convinced Subject 6-1-2 that she was the "liar" who caused the final "tragedy" in the prophecy. When she tried to explain the "truth" to Subject 6-1-2 at the end of the game, she couldn't gain Subject 6-1-2's trust, causing the tragedy between her and Subject 6-1-2. | ||||
3. Analysis Summary | Subject 6-1-4 possessed a "fake" personality, and this led to an interesting outcome during the group experiment: The other test subjects could accept Subject 6-1-4's lies, but when she chose to be truthful, the truth became lies to others. Subject 6-1-4 lived her life with stolen identities, so her "false identities" were true to her, and her true self was the "false identity." Her perception of "true and false" deviated from the other test subjects. When asked to use her true identity, she and her group members recognized it as a lie. |

8-0-1 Violetta
A Page from Violetta's Experiment File | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
No | 8-0-1 | Name | Violetta | Inclination | A "tool" deceived by hope |
Test Indicators | |||||
1. Marginalized | 2. Blind kindness | 3. Appeasing personality | |||
Test Results | 1. Overall Evaluation | No. 8-0-1 was constantly alienated by the others, and her kind personality made it worse. | |||
2. Procedure | It wasn't the plan to use the medicine on No. 8-0-1, and it didn't affect the subject's behavior as we thought it would anyway. Therefore, we've allotted a serial no. based on the results for now. No. 8-0-1 wasn't the core of this experiment, but her naive personality was worth looking into, so we didn't plan to use the medicine on No. 8-0-1. During the experiment, No. 8-0-1 never resisted when the others bullied her. The obedience she showed in pursuit of the goal made the bullying worse. | ||||
3. Analysis | No. 8-0-1's behavioral pattern was simple and goal-oriented: completing the quest in accordance with the rules while trying to get allies by appeasing and obeying others. Her congenital disabilities and trauma molded no. 8-0-1's personality: with low self-esteem, she's weak and habitually chooses to avert when faced with bullying from others. Having been marginalized for so long. No. 8-0-1 longed to return to the stage and be valued by others. As she lacked experiences with positive emotions, she never doubted "hope" and even began believing in it blindly. The ultimate result was her underestimating the malicious nature of humans and languishing in illusory hope. |

8-?-5 Murro Morton
A Page from Murro Morton's Experiment File | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
No | 8-?-5 | Name | Murro Morton | Inclination | A "hero" seeking self-worth in tradegy. |
Test Indicators | |||||
1. Hero Complex | 2. Lacking a Sense Belonging | 3. Identity Crisis | |||
Test Results | 1. Overall Evaluation | Subject 8-?-5's unique experiences during childhood made him question his self-worth and identity after leaving the circus. Even after escaping a life of being controlled, his perception of himself usually comes from others. | |||
2. Methodology | There was a clear division between the subjects of this group. Subject 8-?-5 and Subject 8-?-2 formed a union against Subject 8-0-3 and Subject 8-1-4. Subject 8-0-1 was marginalized, but frequently received assistance from Subject 8-?-5 and Subject 8-?-2. In the early stages of the experiment, Subject 8-?-5 revealed no urgency to accomplish any goals. His ally, Subject 8-?-2, revealed a greater sense of purpose instead. In the beginning, Subject 8-?-5 acted according to the situation, but while frequently assisting Subject 8-0-1, Subject 8-?-5 gradually developed a sense of awareness towards himself and his surroundings. He acknowledged his self-worth and "mission." | ||||
3. Analysis Summary | Based on his experience, Subject 8-?-5's greatest need is to explore his value as a "person" and find a sense of belonging. Growing up in a circus, being trained as a "wildling"... all made him devoid of a sense of belonging. He wasn't a glamorous performer in the circus, nor was he an uncivilized savage or animal. Subject 8-?-5 was alienated from most in the circus, but during the experiment he was accepted into a group when forming alliances with others. Competing with his rivals allowed Subject 8-?-5 to gain self-affirmation of being regarded as a "person." But something established on the opinion of others is never stable. Once he is out of that specific environment, Subject 8-?-5 will once again become lost in a lack of self-awareness. |

9-?-1Kurt Frank
A Page from Kurt Frank's Experiment File | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
NO | 9-?-1 | Name | Kurt Frank | Inclination | A fantasist disassociated with reality |
Test Indicators | |||||
1. Avoidant personality disorder | 2. Curiosity killed the cat | ||||
Test Results | 1. Overall Evaluation | Due to his avoidant personality disorder, No. 9-?-1 desperately wants approval from others. The fantasies and fabricated experiences were tools for evading anxiety and self-protection. Yet these became his downfall when he's among a group of people trying to hide their secrets. | |||
2. Methodology | The commonality of this group of participants was that they all had a secret: either to get ride of their past or to maintain a disguise. Except for No. 9-?-1, the other all suspected each other, and their secrets were on the edge of being unveiled. Initially, No. 9-?-1 wasn't in the middle of the conflict, but he was excessively proactive. He was the first to discover No. 8-?-5 who survived the last round which got No. 9-?-3 suspicious. After observing other carefully, No. 9-?-1 wrote an adventure novel based on fantasy rather than reality, which for No. 9-?-3 even more suspicious. Despite that his action wasn't malicious, he was ticked off by the paranoid and highly dangerous No. 9-?-3. No. 9-?-1 disassociated with the conflict but was the first one ousted and was used by No. 9-?-3 as the fuse to oust No. 9-?-4 later on.|- | ||||
3. Analysis Summary | No. 9-?-1's experiences prompted his avoidant personality disorder. He was extra sensitive about others' opinions of him and fearful of criticism, isolation, and disagreement. No. 9-?-1 was scared of being excluded in a group. On the one hand, he forced other to communicate with him as he was desperate to prove himself to them. |
